Volunteer at SomArt @ the Hive

SomArt @ the Hive is seeking volunteers to help with programming in the space. By volunteering you will be helping artists to create new work by lending a hand in the activities which surround organization, upkeep, public facing events, and other activities. Be a part in the community!

Current Volunteer Opportunities

PaSy Dance Co. – Lu Epp Turu – Enough is Enough
Nov. 9 6pm – 10pm
SomArt @ the Hive (561 Windsor, Somerville)
PaSy Dance Co. is looking for a volunteer front of house lead. This would include:

  • Managing front of house volunteers – most likely 2 or 3 people
  • Checking people in at the door – Keeping track of door count, collecting money, checking in people who bought tickets online
  • Communicating with the stage manager for opening/closing house and performance start
  • Managing volunteers to manager late seating

The company is also looking for other volunteers to assist with front of house duties as well.

It would be useful to be crowd certified – which is a free easy process through the State. More about that here: https://www.mass.gov/crowd-manager-regulations-and-training-program

The date for the performance is: Sat, Nov. 9. Show starts at 8pm, but you would need to be there at 6pm. You would get to see the show for free.
