This workshop will lay out how to think about incorporating projection and media into your live performance.

Led by media designer and choreographer Callie Chapman.

Topics include:

• Visioning why you would want to use projection/media in the first place.
• Fundamentals of projection design: light, color, space, scale, placement, integration with other design elements such as lighting, set, and sound.
• Integrating projection/media into rehearsals.
• Cueing software and why it’s important.
• Inputs/outputs and systems.
• Working with a projection designer and operator.

Please bring a computer with Isadora installed if you want to be hands on. We will have a few extra projectors on hand to share. You can opt to use the free version without the ability to save, or you can rent Isadora for the time of the workshop for a nominal amount. We will not have any adapters available, but will have HDMI cords for connections.
